Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to try their hand at hand-building pottery in London, this session will guide you through making 2–3 pieces of handmade dinnerware using traditional techniques.

What to Expect:

A quick intro to key pottery techniques and tools
Time to make a plate, bowl, and/or cup using hand-building methods
Guidance from our friendly team of professional ceramicists
Explore trimming, carving, and surface textures
Endless encouragement, baked snacks, and bottomless tea & coffee

After the Class:

Choose your favourite pieces for glazing and firing
We’ll contact you in 4–6 weeks when they’re ready to collect or ship
(Yes, they’re dishwasher-safe and made to last!)

Cancellation Policy

At Sofia Ceramics, our classes are kept intentionally small to ensure a personal and hands-on experience. As each space is limited, we ask that you please read our cancellation policy carefully before booking.

Cancellations by Participants

All class bookings are non-refundable. However, we understand that plans can change — if you’re unable to attend, you may reschedule your booking up to 7 days (one week) prior to your class date, subject to availability.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer rescheduling or credits for cancellations made less than 7 days before the class or for non-attendance.

Cancellations by Sofia Ceramics

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or postpone a class (for example, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered the choice to rebook for another date or receive a full refund.
We will always aim to give as much notice as possible and appreciate your understanding.
