Let’s talk about what these pieces are really made of.

Every item begins with stoneware clay and finishes with a carefully chosen glaze. Sounds simple, but this is where the magic (and a little mystery) happens. Glaze thickness, kiln placement, and even a few degrees difference in firing temperature can subtly change how a piece looks. A touch more glaze here, a slightly hotter spot there, and suddenly you’ve got a new personality.

That’s the beauty of handmade ceramics. No two pieces are ever exactly the same. Each bowl, plate, or cup carries its own quiet quirks and character, shaped by fire, timing, and human hands. Think of it less as inconsistency and more as individuality.

Perfectly imperfect. Just the way we like it.

Clays

We work with three main clay bodies, each with its own distinct character. The same glaze can behave in beautifully different ways depending on the clay beneath it, which is part of the magic of working by hand.

Dark Clay is a smooth stoneware with a deep grey tone. Its colour subtly shifts depending on the firing temperature, sometimes darker, sometimes softer, always rich and grounding.

Creme Clay is a light stoneware scattered with natural iron speckles. These gentle freckles appear and fade depending on the glaze and the heat of the kiln, giving each piece its own quiet personality.

Grey Clay is a softly textured stoneware, often compared to a salt and pepper blend. Its tone changes with firing temperature, creating depth and variation that makes every piece feel alive. We usually bring Grey Clay into the collection as a special edition, paired with seasonal glazes and small batch experiments.

Three clays, three starting points, and endless variations shaped by fire, glaze, and human hands.

Creme Clay | Eggshell

Every piece in our Creme Clay collection is one of a kind. Iron in the clay creates gentle speckling beneath the glaze, while variations in firing and application ensure no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

You can find it at Bubala, ROVI & Lyra in Bahrain

Creme Clay | Meringue

Soft, creamy, and quietly elegant, Meringue brings warmth and subtle character to the table. Layered over our speckled creme clay, it reveals delicate movement and tonal variation that make every piece uniquely its own.

Creme Clay | Eucalyptus

A calm, muted green inspired by nature and slow mornings. Eucalyptus settles beautifully over our creme clay body, with subtle variations in tone and depth that emerge during firing.

Creme Clay | Violet

Rich, expressive, and full of personality, Violet shifts gently across the surface of each piece. The combination of glaze chemistry, firing, and handmade application creates a finish with remarkable depth and movement.

Creme Clay | Coral

Warm, joyful, and impossible to ignore. Coral brings a vibrant energy to the collection while retaining the softness and character of handmade ceramics. Expect gentle variation that makes every piece feel unique.

Creme Clay | Sunflower

Inspired by golden fields and long lunches in the sun, Sunflower is bright, welcoming, and full of warmth. Its rich tones develop beautifully in the kiln, creating subtle variation from piece to piece.

Dark Clay | Classic White

Our most timeless glaze. A crisp, glossy white layered over dark clay creates a striking contrast that has become a favourite in homes and restaurants alike. Simple, versatile, and endlessly elegant.

You can find it at Ottolenghi Delis, Rosewood Hotels St Barts & Fantomas in Chelsea

Dark Clay | Cloudy White

Softer and more atmospheric than Classic White, this glaze develops subtle movement and gentle yellowed edges during firing. The result is a finish reminiscent of weathered paper, full of warmth and quiet character.

Dark Clay | Sage Green

Chic, muted, and wonderfully nostalgic, Dusty Pink brings warmth and softness while allowing the richness of the dark clay to show through. Subtle white speckling and tonal variation give each piece a beautifully lived in feel.

Dark Clay | Dusty Pink

One of our most-loved combinations, where the deep dark clay meets a luminous white glossy glaze. The unglazed exterior contrasts beautifully with the glossy interior, and each dip or pump creates unique patterns that let a little clay peek through, making every piece distinct.

Discover it at Ottolenghi Delis, Rosewood Hotels St Barts, and Fantomas in Chelsea.

Dark Clay | Night Blue

Deep, inky, and quietly dramatic, Night Blue catches the light beautifully and brings a rich sense of depth to the table. This reactive glaze occasionally reveals soft green undertones, ensuring every piece is slightly different from the last.

The Palette

Moody, earthy, glossy, speckled, dramatic. Like a good menu, every glaze brings something different to the table.

Choosing just one? Slightly ambitious.
